Cross Beside A Cattle Pasture
2010
Pigment Ink On Archival Paper
8" x 12"
Here is a cross beside a cattle pasture along with a boot on a fence post. The boot on the post has several different meanings, but it often relates to the death of a favorite horse. Other tales relate the boot on the fence post to the death of a local rancher or the loss of a good hired hand. This particular cattle ranch has probably 10 or 12 boots on different fence posts around the pasture.
